SYNTH PIONEER PATRICK COWLEY'S PORN SOUNDTRACKS TO BE RELEASED BY DARK ENTRIES
A second volume of electronic music pioneer Patrick Cowley’s gay porn soundtracks are to be released by Dark Entries.
Cowley, best known for his work with hi-NRG legend Sylvester and hits like ‘Megatron Man’, was hired by John Coletti, owner of LA-based gay porn company Fox Studio, in the late ‘70s to soundtrack a number of his films.
The recordings Cowley sent over are perhaps some of the most groundbreaking sounds to be used on a porno soundtrack, made during his time at the Electronic Music Lab, which he co-founded at the City College of San Francisco.
