Bay Area synthesist and composer Pauline Anna Strom has died at the age of 74.
The news was confirmed yesterday by her record label RVNG Intl, who wrote: “Heartbroken to say goodbye to Paula so suddenly. At least now at one with a world beyond ours to which she was connected.”
Russian experimentalist Kate NV is releasing album 'Room for the Moon' via Brookyln's Rvng Intl. this June.
The Moscow-based artist's album is inspired by Russian and Japanese pop music and film from the '70s and '80s, as well as children's performance shows from the '80s, and features vocals sung in a mixture of Russian, French and English.
It follows 2018 album 'для, FOR ', a set of ten surrealist electronic tracks made using supernatural-sounding synths.
“I’ve always been super fascinated by sound itself, and seeing how I can mould it into new forms,” says Tristan Arp, a New York-based producer whose club-focussed sounds beam with off-kilter percussion and buoyant melodies.

To celebrate its 15th birthday, visionary experimental and avant-garde electronic label RVNG Intl. has invited DJ and composer Beatrice Dillon to deliver a catalog mixtape.
Kate NV has been having quite the year. In the spring, she spent a month in Cologne recording a new collaborative album with former Dirty Projector Angel Deradoorian. From there, she travelled to Japan, where she stayed the duration of Tokyo’s hottest July on record (“Everybody was literally melting”). Later in the year, she will return for the second time to Red Bull Music Academy Berlin, only, this time, she will not be an academy member but will be a studio team member.
