A new documentary exploring the history of the UK’s Free Party Movement is in the works.

Free Party: A Folk History is a chronicle of the movement, in which a new wave of underground and outdoor rave parties swept the nation from the late 1980s to the early-to-mid 1990s.

You can now watch a documentary about Paul Oakendfold’s DJ set at the top of Mount Everest.

Hernán Cattaneo’s Connected live show is now available to watch on Netflix. 

In 2018, the Argentinian progressive house DJ and producer played four live performances at the legendary Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, playing electronic hits alongside a 50-piece orchestra, directed by Gerardo Gardelin. Titled Connected, the concerts were performed alongside electronic artists Oliverio Sofia, Baunder and Zuker and four guest singers: Richard Coleman, Leandro Fresco, Oriana Favaro, and Josefina Silveyra.

Earlier this month, streaming giant Netflix shared a trailer for a new documentary about Brooklyn-born rapper Biggie Smalls AKA The Notorious B.I.G., who was murdered in 1997, aged 24.

A new documentary about the spirit of Ibiza will be available to watch for free this weekend. 

Born Balearic: Jon Sa Trinxa and The Spirit of Ibiza, directed by Lily Rinae, is a 70-minute documentary centering around legendary DJ Jon Sa Trinxa, who has played records on the same Ibiza beach for over 25 years.

Yesterday, (15th) streaming giant Netflix shared the trailer for a new documentary about legendary Brooklyn-born rapper Biggie Smalls AKA The Notorious B.I.G..

Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell has been executive-produced by the late rapper's mother Violetta Wallace, alongside Sean Combs AKA P. Diddy, and will drop on Netflix on the 1st March. Born Christopher George Latore Wallace, Biggie was born in 1972 and was murdered in 1997, aged 24.

The Prodigy have announced they are working on a new documentary.

Liam Howlett and Maxim shared the news via a joint statement to Billboard. They are working with longtime visual collaborator Paul Dugdale on the documentary, who has previously worked with the Essex outfit on their 2011 concert film, The Prodigy: World's On Fire, as well as three other videos.

A new short film series from audio design company AIAIAI and DJ Benji B aims to give insight into artists’ creative process.

The series, titled My Process, is curated by Radio 1’s Benji B and has launched with an episode featuring London jazz innovator Nubya Garcia, whose 2020 LP ‘Source’ was nominated in the Best Album category at DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards. 

The episode gives a look into Garcia’s writing and performance techniques, using examples of tracks from ‘Source’ to discuss her approach to melody, arrangement and creativity. 

A Gorillaz movie is reportedly in the works.

A film about Damon Albarn's digital outfit, Gorillaz, is reportedly in script-writing stages, Albarn told hosts of Radio.com's New Arrivals show earlier this week.
