A new documentary in the Unsung series which explores pioneering DJ Frankie Knuckles and the foundations of house music has been released.
Known as 'The Godfather of House', Frankie Knuckles was a key player during the development of the genre as it flourished within the gay clubs of New York City and Chicago during the 1980s.
Titled Unsung: Frankie Knuckles and The Roots of House Music, the half-hour film features interviews with many notable faces from the early days of house, including Frankie Knuckles, Farley Jackmaster Funk and Jesse Saunders.
