This year’s Miller SoundClash Wild Card category has been the biggest yet! Hundreds of mixes were submitted to Mixcloud from around the world, and the judges have had a real challenge to whittle the entries down to a final ten DJs!
We’ll be announcing on 17th June! The winning DJ will fly to Las Vegas to compete against DJs from around the world in the Miller SoundClash Grand Final!
Please meet the 2016 Miller SoundClash DJ Mag Wild Card Finalists (in no particular order)…
ELVIS XHEMA DZEMA (BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA)
This considered house and techno mix from Elvis Dzema is slick in every sense of the word. Deep, progressive and groove heavy - the mix has a hazy quality which won over the judging team.
DJ C STYLEZ (Canada)
Experienced Canadian DJ, C Stylez, is a club and radio DJ with diverse tastes. This is reflected in his Miller SoundClash mix, that impressed from the outset.
Colombian DJ, CaHen, developed his tech trance sound as resident DJ at Club Theatron, in Bogota. This club experience shines through in a mix that exudes quality throughout.
This is Azcue’s second time as Miller SoundClash WildCard finalist, following his selection in 2015. The Mexican DJ’s mix demonstrated the talent behind the decks that has seen him support some of the scene’s biggest artists in his home country.
EDGAR STORM (LATVIA)
Latvia’s Edgar Storm, has entered a mix targeted directly to the dancefloors of Las Vegas. His well-constructed selection combines house and EDM whilst maintaining the energy throughout.
BERKIN TETIK (USA)
Turkish born-Miami based DJ, Berkin Tetik, impressed the judges with a crowd-pleasing selection of high-energy house.
DJ HOLGER (BELARUS)
This future house mix, with a certain hip hop flavour, got the DJ Mag office fist pumping in unision. DJ Holger, who is from Belarus, has been crafting his electro sound for the past six years.
ROBERTO RIOS (HUNGARY)
This infectious, mash-up mix from Hungarian DJ Roberto Rios is an impeccably-mixed party selection that spans multiple genres, tempos and atmospheres.
NTEL (CANADA) NTEL
is one half of Canadian duo the Bounce Sirs. As you might imagine from his duo’s name, the mix is a high-energy selection guaranteed to get dancefloors jumping!
DANNY BUNES (ENGLAND)
UK vibes aplenty here from English DJ, Danny Bunes. His bass and future house mix flows throughout and is peppered with catchy vocal hooks to keep the listener’s interest.
