Michigan DJ and producer Disruptive Pattern Material will debut on Rekids this week with the rolling melodic techno cut, ‘Necessary’.
The release comes paired with remixes from Detroit legends DJ Bone, Terrence Parker and Scan 7, who each put their own trademark spins on the track. “My first record on Rekids has a lot of firsts,” explains Disruptive Pattern Material. “The first ‘real’ club I ever went inside was Detroit's famed Motor Lounge, where DJ Bone was a resident. Years later as a club promoter in Brooklyn I brought Terrence Parker out for his first gig in NYC, and Scan 7's ‘Black Moon Rising’ was the first Underground Resistance record in my collection. It felt only right to have the people that put me down this path be involved for this project.”
You can hear Terrence Parker’s typically uplifting, piano-led house remix of ‘Necessary’ below, ahead of its official release tomorrow. You’ll be able to buy ‘Necessary’ here.
